Jodi understands there is no typical 60- to 100-year-old. As a highly trained and experienced geriatric massage therapist, she knows how to accommodate clients who have undergone surgery, have accumulated a lifetime of injuries, cannot maneuver themselves onto a massage table, or just might need a caring touch. She has seen through her home, hospital and hospice visits how important it is for all of us to have physical contact. 

Each senior client is unique. Jodi takes the time to get to know the needs and physical challenges of each person. She builds trust and understanding with her clientele by leaving ample time between appointments, offering help with dressing and maneuvering during each session, paying attention to verbal and nonverbal cues and maintaining respectful boundaries. 

Jodi has a BA in psychology, a Masters in Science Education and a Massage Certificate from the Massage School in Easthampton, MA. She is trained in Oncology Massage and is a Day-Break Geriatric Massage Certified practitioner. After completing her 800-hour program in Massage Therapy, she received her license from the Board of Massage therapy in Massachusetts and a national certification in Massage Therapy.   

Lastly and most importantly, Jodi loves her work. She knows many elders are sensory deprived and how deeply important this non-verbal form of communication can be. She appreciates the strong, one-on-one relationships she develops with her clients.
